Igford Muley's Blog

In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. This blog contains the exaggerated musings of Igford Muley and his trusty yet inexperienced sidekick.

Random Facts

I was tagged by Rustin and Shalinn to play some stupid blog game, so of course, I’m in.

Here's the rules, baby.

1. players start with 8 random facts about themselves.
2. those who are tagged should post these rules and their 8 random facts.
3. players should tag 8 other people and notify them they have been tagged.

Here are my 8 random facts:

  • I love to walk. I really do. Walking helps me think. It also helps me relax. And it just feels good. Strangely, I don’t go on many walks, so I substitute this with pacing. I pace a lot at home. And I pace a lot in the office when no one else is around.
  • I was the class clown throughout elementary school. I wasn’t afraid to do anything to get a laugh. This changed in middle school, as the nerdiness set in, and I became very self-conscious.
  • Twice in my lifetime, I drove to Dallas to compete in a national computer gaming competition. Each time, the main event was a Quake3 tournament. Each time, I lost in the first round... badly.
  • I find myself very attracted to Tina Fey; mostly because of her sense of humor, but also because of her overall demeanor and style. And also mostly because she’s hot.
  • I used to be a pretty good trumpet player. I was first chair for 3 years in high-school, and went to state all four years as either a soloist, in an ensemble, or both. I played in college under a scholarship for one year before realizing I have absolutely no passion for playing the trumpet. I haven’t touched one since.
  • I can play Jingle Bells on the electric guitar. As I see it, this is the only song I really ever need to perfect. I practice it regularly to maintain this skill.
  • I don’t care for ketchup on hot dogs. I think ketchup ruins hot dogs.
  • I’m a triple-sneezer, with an occasional quadruple and a very rare double. When I sneeze at home, I make strange noises as I sneeze, because for some reason I believe the vibrations of the vocals will help somehow. It doesn’t help, actually, but I still do it.

Here are the eight people I am tagging:

Natalie Portman
Brodie Croyle
Uma Thurman
Kirsten Dunst
The big fat black guy from this season of Last Comic Standing
Jermaine from Flight of the Conchords
Tina Fey
Uncle Rico from Napolean Dynamite

I’ve notified them each via telegram.

    pssst.

each day around 12:30 there are a group of walkers at the office.

Also, in a random conversation today (occurring on the walk, nonetheless) I stated that Zach Braff is waaaay more attractive than both Brad Pitt and George Clooney. People had a hard time understanding that, but since you get the Tina Fey thing I think that you would definitely know what I mean. Not that you like guys or anything. Oh, and not that there's anything wrong with that.

And I definitely picture you as a Natalie Portman fan. True?

    1. I like that you labeled this with telegrams.
    2. I agree with jami on zach braff.
    3. can you bring an electric guitar to the party on sunday? jingle bells is ann's favorite song, and I'm sure it would mean a lot, coming from you, you know.

I've had a thing for Tina Fey since day one. Mostly for the reasons you site. I also love her huge scar. I like to think it is from a knife fight. I also like that she dances funny and well at the same time.

NBC won't let me post this to our blog. So I am posting here since this is where the tag originated.

    1. I got my much talked about scar from a kissing accident in junior high. That's all I am going to say about it.
    2. If I weren't in show business, I would be a librarian.
    3. I think Alec Baldwin is as much of an ass as people imagine.
    4. MadTV is better to me than Saturday Night Live, but I really wish In Living Color was still on TV.
    5. I filed a restraining order today on some guy named Igford Muley.
    6. Whenever I did "Weekend Update" on SNL, I got terrible gas. If you turn up the volume loud enough you might catch the sound of a squeaker I was trying to sneak out.
    7. My toughest job during "Mean Girls" was to get Lindsay Lohan to the set sober. We needed her to be, not because she was a better actress sober, but because she's not all that mean when she's drunk. Watch out if she shows up on set sober. She'll bite your head off.
    8. I am not opposed to doing nude scenes. I am just waiting on a good script that shows a justifiable reason for one.

Jami, yes, Natalie Portman is awesome in many ways.

Kimberly, my electric guitar does not leave my house.

    Toby, agreed.

Shalinn, are you thanking me for sharing my memories? or thanking me for giving you new ones of your own?

Tina, The real Tina Fey would never say she liked Mad TV. You're a fraud.
