Once

I saw a movie at the Tivoli for the first time last night. It was an independent film from Ireland called "Once" that stars the leader singer of the band The Frames and features music written by him and some other girl. Essentially it is a musical about a guy and a girl.

I though it was good. In fact it is really growing on me. I'll even say it was really good.

If you like indie films or indie music, you'll definitely like it. If you like both, you'll probably love it. I know there are lot of friends and friends of friends of mine that are really into that indie music stuff, so for you guys, I'm sure it will definitely be worth your time and money to see it. For instance, if you are one of those people that is a huge fan of Garden State, I think you'll like this a lot.

If you'd rather spend your money on a CD than a movie ticket, the soundtrack is worth buying even if you don't see the movie. You can get it from iTunes or probably anywhere. The myspace page for the movie has some of the music on it if you want to listen.
